The MBCA Hall of Fame Classic will honor a coach from each school involved in the tournament. This year, Glendale will be represented by 2013 MBCA Hall of Fame inductee Mike Keltner. Each honoree will be recognized during their respective teams game on Friday, December 4th. Glendale Basketball accomplishments under Coach Keltner's leadership: - 288-133 overall record (.68%) in 15 seasons (1984-1999) - 1986 & 1990 Class 4A Semifinalist - 1986, 1988, 1990, & 1999 Class 4A Quarterfinalist - 42-game home winning streak between '88-'91. - Eight Ozark Conference titles (second most won by any coach). - Six District titles - Four consecutive conference & district titles ('88-'91) - 1994 Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions Champs! - Ranked as high as 27th in America in 1998-99 and 2nd in the Midlands region. First ever National/Regional ranking for a SWMO boys team! - Ranked as high as #1 in Missouri Class 4A in 1993-94 & 1998-99. - State ranked Top Ten in Missouri Class 4A for 12 out of his 15 seasons. - Eight 20-win seasons - 7-time Springfield Tip-Off Club Coach of the Year (second most won by any coach). - Second place finish at 1999 Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions. - Four Blue & Gold titles (Tied for best winning percentage at .875 with Branson's John E. Chase) - Coached NCAA Div. I players like Tyler Rullman, Kenny Price, David Brewer, and Michael McClain. - Glendale won the Eddie Matthews Sportsmanship Award three times (1987, 1990, & 1999). - Defeated St. Charles West & Jefferson City in 1994 when both teams were ranked #1 in the state. - 15-0 start in '98-'99 is a program record and the second longest winning streak in school history. - Won 'Zizzer Classic' in '98 - One of only two local teams to ever win that tournament. - Glendale played Fordham Prep at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, NY in '98 becoming one of the few, if not the only, Missouri high school sports team to compete in New York.
