After Hillcrest had missed two go-ahead shots with twenty-seconds left, senior Bob Reasoner's free throws with six seconds on the clock provided the eighth ranked Falcons with the winning margin. The Hornets scored a lay-up at the buzzer to lose by one.
March 7th, 1986 / District Championship
Glendale got revenge on the Hornets for knocking them off in the district final a year before with its 57-52 win. David Brewer's 35 points helped the Falcons to their eighth district title in school history. Glendale reached its first ever 4A Final Four a week later.
March 1st, 1991 / District Championship
This was the seventh straight district final between Glendale & Hillcrest since 1985. The two state-ranked teams battled back-and-forth before 2,642 fans until a big 10-0 third quarter run by the Falcons put the game out-of-reach for Hillcrest.
January 6th, 2012 / Ozark Conf.
The Falcons used a great first half start to topple the top ranked Hornets. Glendale senior Cameron Johnson scored 26 points and added 13 rebounds. The win was part of an undefeated OC title run by the Falcons in '11-'12. Hillcrest would finish 2nd in Class 4.
January 24th, 2017 / Ozark Conf.
Two-hundred and thirty-three points were scored between Glendale and Hillcrest in an overtime thriller that most in attendance will never forget. Both schools set program records for most points scored in a single game.
